Job summary

New York Institute of Technology seeks an Associate Provost, Academic and Faculty Excellence to lead academic quality, curriculum, and policy. You will partner with senior leaders, deans, and faculty to advance instructional quality, curricular innovation, scholarly productivity, and inclusive pedagogy for all faculty.

The role also serves as Acting Provost when needed, chairs committees, directs the Center for Faculty Excellence, and supports online and hybrid instruction, faculty development,

Qualifications

• Doctorate or terminal degree.
• Record of teaching, scholarship, and service sufficient to warrant appointment with tenure at NYIT.
• Experience with faculty development and policy with budget and staff oversight.
• Ability to work with faculty and administrators across disciplines.
• Experience supporting online, hybrid, and technology-enhanced instruction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and set strategic direction of academic quality, curriculum, and policy.
• Design and deliver faculty development programming for all faculty.
• Chair committees and act as Provost in times of need.
• Coordinate initiatives with Libraries, IT, Student Engagement, and other units.
• Oversee budget, resources, and external funding where appropriate.
• Represent the Office of the Provost on university committees and governance bodies.
