Job summary

The Professional and Organizational Development Network in Higher Education seeks an Associate Provost, Academic and Faculty Excellence to lead academic quality, curriculum policy, and the Center for Faculty Excellence.

You will design programs enhancing instructional quality, curricular innovation, scholarly productivity, and inclusive pedagogy for full-time and adjunct faculty, while serving as Acting Provost as needed.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or terminal degree is required.
• A record of teaching, scholarship, and service sufficient to warrant tenure at NYIT.
• Experience with faculty development programs and personnel processes.
• Knowledge of policy, curriculum, and contracts relevant to faculty governance.
• Excellent written and oral communication, with the ability to facilitate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for academic quality, curriculum, and academic policy.
• Lead the Center for Faculty Excellence and design programs to advance instructional quality and inclusive pedagogy.
• Supervise and develop Center staff and coordinate faculty development activities.
• Oversee onboarding, mentoring, and support for faculty across schools and colleges.
• Represent the Provost's office on committees and in regional/national education networks.
• Serve as Acting Provost when needed.
