Performance Contracting is seeking an Associate Project Engineer for its Chicago 573 branch operations based in Lake Zurich, IL. This entry‑level leadership track offers hands-on experience in project management and estimating, fostering growth within PCI.

The role includes safety meetings, punch list management, QA/QC support, RFIs/submittals, labor control, material takeoffs, schedule support, warranties/O&M coordination, and PO/invoicing coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take initiative; strong customer service mindset.

Performance Contracting is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing employee-owned organization as an Associate Project Engineer for its Chicago 573 branch operations based in Lake Zurich, IL.

The Associate Project Engineer role serves as a launching pad for future leaders within PCI. It's a dynamic position offering hands‑on experience in project management and estimating, setting the stage for professional growth and career advancement in an innovative environment.

Job responsibilities include:

• Conducting safety meetings
• Creating and managing punch lists
• Supporting the Quality Control Measures outlined in PCI’s QA/QC program
• Preparing RFI’s and submittals
• Labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
• Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
• Supporting the implementation of the job schedule

• Material coordination with purchase orders and invoicing

Salary range:$72,600-$77,600annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

This position is safety-sensitive.

Basic Requirements

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
