Job summary

Performance Contracting seeks an entry-level Associate Project Engineer for its Detroit 110 operations in Novi, MI. This role launches future leaders in project management and estimating within an employee-owned environment.

You will conduct safety meetings, prepare RFIs, manage punch lists, and support QA/QC and scheduling. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving are essential as you contribute to project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management/engineering/science or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and deliver customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety meetings.

• Labor control on projects, including setup and maintenance.
• Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering.
• Support implementation of the job schedule.
• Coordinate warranties and O&M’s.

Performance Contracting is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing employee-owned organization as an entry-level Associate Project Engineer for its Detroit 110 operations based in Novi, Michigan.

The Associate Project Engineer role serves as a launching pad for future leaders within PCI. It's a dynamic position offering hands-on experience in project management and estimating, setting the stage for professional growth and career advancement in an innovative environment.

Job responsibilities include:

• Conducting safety meetings
• Creating and managing punch lists
• Supporting the Quality Control Measures outlined in PCI’s QA/QC program
• Preparing RFI’s and submittals
• Labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
• Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
• Supporting the implementation of the job schedule
• Coordinating warranties and O&M’s
• Material coordination with purchase orders and invoicing

Salary range: $79,400 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

This position is safety-sensitive.

Basic Requirements

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
• A clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
