Job summary

Performance Contracting is seeking an Associate Project Engineer for its Indianapolis 550 operations based in Anderson, IN. This hands-on role serves as a launching pad for future leaders, combining project management, estimating, and QA/QC involvement to drive professional growth in a dynamic, employee-owned organization.

Responsibilities include safety meetings, punch list management, RFIs and submittals, and supporting the job schedule and material coordination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Clear ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and apply them on the job.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
  • Must have critical-thinking and problem-solving skills and multitask ability.
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Performance Contracting is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing employee-owned organization as an Associate Project Engineer for its Indianapolis 550 operations based in Anderson, IN.

The Associate Project Engineer role serves as a launching pad for future leaders within PCI. It's a dynamic position offering hands-on experience in project management and estimating, setting the stage for professional growth and career advancement in an innovative environment.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Conducting safety meetings
  • Creating and managing punch lists
  • Supporting the Quality Control Measures outlined in PCI’s QA/QC program
  • Preparing RFI’s and submittals
  • Labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
  • Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
  • Supporting the implementation of the job schedule
  • Coordinating warranties and O&M’s
  • Material coordination with purchase orders and invoicing

Salary range: $72,600-$77,600 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

This position is safety-sensitive.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Basic Requirements
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
