Job description

Job Description
Job Description
The Short Version

The best operators make complexity look effortless. Be the person who keeps our Boston hub running, our leaders focused, and a hundred moving pieces moving.

What Liminal Is

A Founders' Studio. We co-build with repeat founders, many of them unicorn founders, providing build expertise, capital, and unfair access from founding to Series B.

We call ourselves a Founders' Studio because "venture studio" undersells what we do and oversells what most of them deliver.

What This Role Actually Is

Three jobs, one seat: executive support for the leadership team, business operations for our growing Boston hub, and keeper of the workplace. It sounds like a lot of hats. In practice it’s one instinct applied everywhere: see the snag coming, remove it quietly, move on.

This isn’t "keep the calendar and call it a day." You’ll move between executive support, business operations, workplace experience, and team programs. Some days, you’ll be orchestrating a leadership offsite. Others, you’ll be untangling an operational bottleneck, coordinating a complex travel schedule, or making sure the right people are in the right room with the right information.

You’re not here to keep things organized for the sake of organization. You’re here to create leverage for everyone around you.

The Work
  • Create executive leverage. Run complex calendars across Boston and Singapore. Protect the high-value meetings, resolve the conflicts, and make sure nobody walks into a room unbriefed.
  • Make the Boston hub hum. Be the operational heartbeat of our Boston office and connect the crew. Keep the day-to-day running smoothly, anticipate what the team needs, and make the workplace somewhere people can do their best work. Help build the rituals, experiences, and moments that bring our distributed teams together.
  • Orchestrate the important moments. From leadership meetings and team offsites to founder gatherings and internal celebrations, organize and look into the details that make these feel like a well-oiled machine. The logistics should feel invisible. The experience shouldn’t.
  • Keep the operational wheels turning. Coordinate vendor relationships, internal approvals, expense processes, documentation, and the many moving parts that keep a growing studio functioning. Administer tools and systems by supporting onboarding and admin for Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, WhatsApp, and Zoom. Who has access to what, and why, is always a question you can answer.
  • Build better ways of working. Spot inefficiencies, simplify workflows, and introduce systems that make us faster without making us bureaucratic. If a process creates more work than it saves, question it.
Who You Are
  • A closer of loops. Loose ends bother you. You’re meticulous and follow through, close the gaps, but you never lose sight of the bigger picture. People rarely need to chase you because you’re already two steps ahead.
  • High agency, low ego. You don’t wait to be told what needs doing. You see the problem, take ownership, and figure it out. No task is beneath you, and no challenge is automatically beyond you.
  • Discreet by instinct. You work closely with founders and senior leaders, often around sensitive information. You understand that trust is earned through judgment, confidentiality, and consistency.
  • Clear, concise, and considered. You communicate with precision and warmth. Your emails are easy to act on. Your meeting notes settle questions. Your instructions leave little room for confusion.
  • Unflappable. Plans change. Flights get cancelled. Priorities shift. You don’t need a perfect brief or a detailed playbook. You can work with incomplete information. You don’t add to the noise. You bring clarity, options, and a way forward.
Unicorn Points If...

You’ve supported a founder or leadership team across time zones and speak multiple languages. You’ve run an overseas offsite where the only thing anyone remembers is the content. You’ve replaced a tedious manual process with a clever Notion database or a Zapier flow nobody asked for - bonus, not the job. The job is order, discretion, and momentum. But if you can build the systems as well as run them, you become unreasonably valuable.
