Job summary

PCOM South Georgia seeks an Associate Professor of Physiology to educate Osteopathic medical students in physiology within a two-year preclinical curriculum at the Moultrie campus.

The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in Physiology or related field and has at least three years of teaching experience, preferably in a medical school, with an interest in innovative, collaborative education and service on committees.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Physiology (or related field) is required.
  • Three years of teaching experience in medical education preferred.
  • Experience teaching physiology is required.
  • Open to non-traditional research.

Responsibilities

  • Educate medical students in physiology across a two-year preclinical curriculum.
  • Create educational assessment questions for osteopathic students.
  • Serve in leadership and membership capacities on college and campus committees.
  • Evaluate student progress and communicate evaluations to students and faculty.
  • Other duties as assigned.
