Job Profile Summary

Under the general direction of the Sr. Director of Product Management, the Associate Product Manager (APM) provides subject matter expertise, market intelligence, and product planning support to maximize revenue, adoption, and customer satisfaction for GPO product offerings. The APM tracks market trends, researches customer needs, and supports growth opportunities. They work collaboratively to develop commercialization tools and support product messaging through various cycles. Effective communication with stakeholders is essential to implement service offerings successfully.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
  • Support Product Managers as a strategist and subject matter expert for GPO products and services.
  • Assist in understanding market developments, industry trends, risks, and customer needs through market surveillance and stakeholder engagement.
  • Conduct competitive surveillance to identify market segments and opportunities.
  • Develop commercialization tools such as sales materials, RFP language, pricing guides, SOPs, scripts, and training materials.
  • Support integration of service line capabilities into operations, including UAT, training, troubleshooting, and adoption support.
  • Gather customer feedback and assess business-case feasibility for product enhancements via user stories.
  • Manage product backlog and road-map using JIRA stories.
  • Assist in managing vendors involved in service line operations.
  • Conduct research to evaluate and prioritize product development ideas.
  • Monitor key performance metrics to measure success and identify improvement areas.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and manage expectations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience And Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or healthcare-related field preferred, or four years of healthcare-related experience.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge, And Ability Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Operational program support experience for at least one year.
  • Strategic thinking and business insight.
  • Ability to build accurate business cases.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Prioritization and meeting deadlines.

  • Understanding of technical and operational processes.
  • Experience leading projects and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to conceptualize and validate new products and strategies.
  • Basic understanding of budgets and productivity metrics.
