Job summary

Just Play is seeking an Associate Product Designer to join its New Brands Team in El Segundo, CA. The role focuses on creating opportunities across toy categories such as plush, dolls and collectibles, translating consumer trends and technology into viable products.

The candidate will ideate, sketch, and present concepts in 2D/3D and collaborate with design, marketing and management to move ideas toward production. A background in toy design and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Toy design or related product design experience (2+ years).
• Experience across plush, dolls and play sets.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Understanding of 3D CAD.
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for toy development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Actively generate new designs and ideas for New IP Brands at Just Play.
• Execute on Idea Generation and Product Designs.
• Design and develop New IP Brands.
• Work in a small collaborative team environment.
• Successfully present and communicate concepts to the design, marketing and management.
• Communicate and work with exterior resources like model makers, sculptors, and soft goods designers.
