Paramount Pictures seeks a Toy Designer with depth in toys across categories, to translate brand direction into fun, high-quality products. You will work with licensees, provide clear 3D guidance and ensure designs meet safety and cost targets.

You bring a design background, 1–2 years in toy manufacturing, and strong skills in Illustrator/Photoshop; you thrive under pressure and love creative problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design/Toy Design/Entertainment Design.
• 1–2 years of experience in Toy Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and plastics.
• Knowledge of soft goods, fabrics and pattern making.
• Knowledge of games and sporting goods.
• Awareness of toy costs and cost reduction strategies.
• Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop; ability to do quick hand sketches.

Responsibilities

• Oversee product development of Paramount brands to ensure fun, quality toys.
• Review licensee submissions and respond in a timely manner.
• Provide 3D comments and developed control drawings when needed.
• Guide product line from concept through development to milestones.
• Attend licensee weekly meetings.
• Solve aesthetic and manufacturing issues, focusing on cost reductions.
• Ensure products align with market and consumer trends.
• Brainstorm new concepts for existing and new Paramount properties.
• Present concepts to design, business, and executive teams.
