PBS North Carolina is seeking an Associate Producer to support editorial, operational, and technical activities across pre-production, production, and post-production for multiple PBS NC projects.
The role involves story research, production planning, asset management, and final delivery for broadcast and digital platforms. Hybrid work requires on-site presence at RTP at least three days weekly, with UNC System employees living within NC and within commuting distance.
This position will serve as an Associate Producer for various PBS NC productions as assigned and in support of the Content Team known as National and Original Productions. This position will support editorial, operational, and technical activities, and work across pre-production, production, and post-production for segment, programs, and series. Duties include story research and development, production planning, project coordination, asset management, assistant editing, and support of final content and asset delivery for broadcast and digital platforms. The position will assist producers throughout the production process, helping to coordinate logistics, manage production materials, track deliverables, and ensure projects remain organized and on schedule. The position is expected to contribute tangible results and embrace learning opportunities across field and studio-based production teams, facilities, and content. While the primary focus of this role is development, production coordination, and post-production support, the position may assist on set and in the field as needed to support producers and production teams.
This position is a hybrid work arrangement and will work at least three days per week onsite at PBS NC, located in the Research Triangle Park (RTP). UNC System employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina, within a 2-hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.

High school diploma or equivalency and four years of progressive experience in a broadcast television, radio and emerging media environment, of which one year is supervisory; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
