Job summary

PIMCO is seeking an Associate to join our Alternatives Business Management team in Newport Beach. You will work directly with Portfolio Managers to drive deal execution from pipeline through close, coordinating with Legal, Ops, Finance, Tax, Risk and Compliance to maintain deal velocity.

This role provides a broad view of how private investments are structured and managed on the buy side, partnering with senior investment teams and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and strong academic record in a quantitative field.
• 1–3 years of experience; internship or similar work experience.
• Exposure to buy-side or sell-side trading environment preferred.
• Compliance or legal background a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with PMs and cross-functional groups to ensure timely close and proper workflow.
• Assist PMs with deal pipeline management, setup in DealCloud, and liquidity timing coordination.
• Review quarterly Origination and Asset Management reporting and respond to ad-hoc requests.
