Job summary

PIMCO is seeking a Senior Associate, Alternative Operations in New York, NY or Austin, TX to support the Special Situations Group and Insurance-Linked Strategies. The role centers on private loan operations, settlement oversight, and lifecycle management of originated debt and equity investments.

You will work with Portfolio Managers, external service providers, and internal colleagues to ensure accurate settlement, monthly reporting, and robust controls while participating in cross-functional

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant operational experience in private debt or equity.
• Strong knowledge of loan-based products and credit documentation.
• Experience reviewing credit agreements and loan settlements.
• Experience with SMAs, private equity, or hedge fund structures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support settlement oversight and lifecycle management of private loan trades.
• Provide day-to-day operational coverage for portfolio managers.
• Review credit agreements and interpret key terms for accruals and payments.
• Coordinate with vendors, custodians, and service providers on settlements and reporting.
• Lead process-improvement initiatives and support special projects.
