The Community You Will Join:

The Associate Principal, Strategic Finance & Analytics, Supply Ops will partner with the business across all aspects of 10 Star hosting—growth, analytics, and strategy within the CBO Finance organization—and work closely with supply, quality, product, and finance leadership teams. This role involves working directly with senior leadership to provide actionable insights and financial guidance.

The Difference You Will Make:

This role focuses on understanding quality at Airbnb by working with review flow signals, strategic segmentation, and enforcements, and building frameworks to evaluate quality. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, experience in marketplaces, and the ability to present insights and recommendations to senior leaders to influence business decisions.

A Typical Day:

1. Annual & Quarterly Planning: Collaborate with business partners to manage planning processes, ensuring alignment on financial and strategic goals.
2. Optimize Operating Processes: Lead and improve processes such as business reviews, financial reporting, and strategic forecasting.
3. KPIs & Performance Metrics: Define and communicate KPIs, explain variances, and provide actionable insights.
4. Strategic Initiatives: Lead or support projects to improve financial outcomes and operational efficiency, ensuring alignment with business P&L.
5. Insights & Analytics: Provide detailed reporting, partner with Data Science teams, and enhance data accessibility.
6. Business Trends & Variance Analysis: Analyze trends and drivers of variance to inform leadership.
7. Presentations to Leadership: Regularly present financial reports and strategic recommendations.

Your Expertise:

• 7+ years in financial planning, analysis, and strategy, with experience in management consulting, operations, or finance preferred.
• B.A. or B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or CPA a plus.
• Proven experience with P&L management, revenue forecasting, and financial modeling; advanced Excel and reporting tools proficiency.
• Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.
• Strong strategic, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Leadership abilities and influence across teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
