Cabaletta Bio is seeking an Associate Principal Scientist, Preclinical Research, on-site in Philadelphia. You will lead a molecular biology and gene delivery team within discovery research, collaborating with Cell Biology, Pharmacology, CMC and others to advance a product pipeline and support IND-enabling studies.

Qualifications

• PhD in Molecular Biology/Cell Biology or similar field.
• At least 2 years of biotech industry experience.
• Expertise with advanced molecular biology techniques and assay development.
• Experience enabling gene delivery to primary T-cells (Lentiviral, lipid nanoparticles, AAV).
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Clear written and oral scientific communication.
• Desire to contribute in a growing early-stage organization and learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team executing R&D experiments, designing assays, and reagent production.
• Design and execute critical experiments for new preclinical projects.
• Plan and interpret team laboratory work per program timelines.
• Identify resources needed to meet discovery objectives.
