Job summary

Vultr is seeking a motivated Associate Platform Engineer to learn, grow and contribute to the infrastructure powering Vultr’s global cloud platform. The ideal candidate is a motivated early-career engineer eager to learn infrastructure and platform engineering from the ground up.

This is a highly visible role in a high-growth technology company, which will require intellectual curiosity persistence and a genuine interest in how cloud infrastructure works under the hood.

Qualifications

• Highly visible role in a high-growth technology company requiring curiosity, persistence and a genuine interest in cloud infrastructure.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to production infrastructure automation and cloud-native services.

Responsibilities

• Learn and contribute to production infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform
• Assist in building and maintaining cloud-native services across VKE VLB and VCR
• Develop hands‑on skills with Kubernetes and container runtimes through guided project work
• Write and improve tooling and scripts (Go, Python, Bash) to support platform operations
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows for platform services
• Dig into issues across networking containers and Linux systems with curiosity and persistence
• Contribute to Vultr’s open‑source tools and libraries with guidance from senior engineers
• Participate in on‑call rotation and incident response as you build operational experience
