Job summary

Maersk in Hesperia, CA is seeking an Associate People Partner to support employee relations, performance management, compliance, and onboarding in a fast-paced industrial setting onsite.

You will partner with managers, conduct investigations, assist with workforce planning, and help ensure a fair, compliant, and engaging workplace. Bilingual in Spanish and union experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• Experience supporting employee relations and frontline employees.
• Knowledge of HRIS systems and employment law.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first contact for employee relations concerns, leaves, onboarding, investigations, and terminations.
• Conduct employee investigations, document findings, and provide recommendations.
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and wage/hour rules.
• Partner with managers on performance management including PIPs and corrective actions.
• Coach leaders on policy interpretation and people management best practices.
• Assist with workforce planning, headcount management, and organizational changes.
• Support HR audits, reporting, and offboarding activities.
