Job summary

Walmart is recruiting an Associate Optometrist to join the Vision Center team. You will deliver evidence-based eye care, prescribe medications, and coordinate with ophthalmologists to ensure comprehensive patient treatment.

In a fast-paced environment at Walmart Vision Centers, you’ll educate patients and associates about eye health, manage exams and refractions, and participate in a broad range of clinical activities supported by advanced technology and systems.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Optometry from an accredited program.
• Licensed optometrist in good standing in state of practice.
• Post-graduate year one (PGY-1) in relevant area preferred (e.g., family practice, low vision, pediatrics).

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based vision care and prescribe treatments per guidelines.
• Educate patients and store staff on eye health and contact lens care.
• Perform comprehensive eye exams and select/adjust eyewear and vision aids.
• Coordinate care with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals as needed.
