Optimax Systems, Inc. is seeking an Associate Optical Engineer to design and build novel optical systems, including lens design, tolerancing, and test planning. The role involves collaborating with mechanical, manufacturing, and process engineers and may include customer calls and design reviews.

On-site with about 10% travel. Requirements include a BS in Optics or Physics (MS/PhD preferred) and experience with Zemax or Code V; strong communication and data analysis skills are essential.

Competenze

• B.S. in Optics, Physics, or equivalent required.
• MS/PhD in Optics preferred.
• Co-op/internship experience is a plus.
• Experience with Zemax or Code V (Zemax preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Mansioni

• Design and build novel optical systems including lens design and tolerancing.
• Define specifications and test plans for opto-mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and process engineers on optical performance.
• Present on customer calls and design reviews as the role grows.
• Travel up to ~10% for customer sites or conferences.
