The candidate will participate in customer calls, design reviews, and create test plans. A strong optics background with Zemax/Code V is essential, with on-site work and ~10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in optics or physics is required; MS/PhD preferred.
• Strong lens design and tolerancing capabilities with Zemax or Code V.
• Experience with precision metrology and optical testing methods.
• Proficient in Matlab or Python; excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel ~10% and work on-site in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build novel optical systems and perform tolerancing analyses.
• Collaborate with mechanical and process teams on optical performance.
• Attend customer calls and design reviews; participate in testing plans.
• Develop process documentation for prototype and production builds.
• Pursue design studies and contribute to multiple project directions.
