Job summary

Leeward Renewable Energy seeks an Associate OCC Operator (P1) to monitor a growing fleet of wind, solar, and storage assets from the 24/7 Operations Control Center. This associate-level role focuses on development, requires completing OCC training, and achieving PJM Generation Operator certification within six months of hire.

You will receive operating instructions, document events, report abnormal conditions, and coordinate with internal and external teams while following NERC reliability

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred in engineering, energy, operations, or related field.
• Experience or familiarity with utility operations and safety-critical environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor wind, solar, and energy storage facilities using approved systems and report abnormal conditions.
• Receive, document, and carry out operating instructions from authorized entities under supervision.
• Communicate plant conditions, outages, curtailments, and grid events to relevant personnel.
• Direct and support site personnel during performance issues and restoration efforts.
• Maintain accurate operational logs and shift turnover information.
• Follow NERC, regional, ISO/RTO, safety, and cybersecurity requirements; obtain PJM Generation Operator certification within six months.
