Job summary

Lightheart Mental Health in Seattle seeks an Associate Mental Health Therapist to join a collaborative clinical team. This role focuses on outpatient individual and family therapy, development of safety and wellness plans, and coordination with psychiatrists and other providers to support client progress.

Qualifications

• Possess a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Passionate about mental health and committed to providing high-quality care.
• Dedicated to ongoing professional development including supervision and continuing education.
• Eager to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance client care.
• Strong commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients and families.
• Ability to manage time effectively and complete documentation and administrative tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients and families, creating a welcoming and understanding environment.
• Provide tailored outpatient individual and family therapy based on the unique needs of each client.
• Develop comprehensive crisis, safety, relapse prevention, and wellness plans.
• Actively participate in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning.
• Ensure timely completion of billing, documentation, treatment plans, and insurance forms.
• Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, and other staff.
