Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer to join our Roy, UT team supporting the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the SDS Division. The role focuses on integration and testing of GN&C hardware, software, and firmware, with design development using NX and Teamcenter.

Collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines is essential to meet program objectives.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 1 year of related experience (Mechanical Engineer level requires 2 years of related experience with a bachelor’s; or 1 year with a master’s)
• Must be a US Citizen with an active US Government Secret Security Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
• Requires a minimum 1 year of professional experience performing in a mechanical engineering role

Responsibilities

• Integrate and test hardware, software, and firmware test stations for GN&C software
• Design, model, and release test rack equipment and configurations
• Design engineering for production using NX/Teamcenter
• Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering disciplines to capture requirements
• Ensure designs meet engineering requirements and project objectives
• Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills
