Job summary

Chicago Bridge & Iron Company is hiring an Associate Mechanical Engineer to contribute to mechanical design and analysis of complex CB&I projects, including pressure vessels and piping systems.

You will learn to plan, conceptualize, and create designs, develop testing processes, and collaborate across disciplines with vendors to ensure timely, within-budget project delivery. A Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and CAD experience are required or preferred, with EIT pursued for advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited school is required.
• 0-3 years of engineering experience preferred.
• EIT or working toward EIT and then PE license is preferred.
• Proficient communication skills and strong math abilities.
• Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Learn mechanical design and analysis for CB&I projects and deliverables.
• Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products.
• Develop testing processes and validate new designs.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and vendors.
• Prepare drawings, plans, and specifications; document design progress.
