Job summary

kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP company, is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer for the New York, NY office. You will support the project team through design and construction, focusing on HVAC, energy, controls, and plumbing within mission critical/data center environments.

The role requires strong communication, willingness to travel to client sites, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to develop drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with mechanical building systems emphasis.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace and Pipeflow.

Responsibilities

• Independently support the project team during design and construction stages.
• Design air distribution, hydronic and automated temperature controls systems.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to develop drawings and specs.
• Attend client meetings and contribute to discussions.
• Mentor and train junior engineers.
