Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks an Associate Manufacturing Engineer (level 1) or Manufacturing Engineer (level 2) for its Aeronautics Systems Sector in Iuka, MS. The role emphasizes designing manufacturing processes, layouts, and steps to optimize production on a 3x12 C shift schedule. The candidate will develop processes supporting SPC, advise on design concepts, and ensure regulatory compliance.

A STEM degree and ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree completed by August 2027 in a STEM field.
• Master's degree or Bachelor's with 2 years of engineering experience required for the T02 track.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance are required.

Responsibilities

• Design manufacturing processes and layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and handling.
• Arrange machines for efficient plant layouts and production flow.
• Define operation sequences and fabrication procedures for tools and equipment.
• Adapt designs to factory conditions and integrate inspection/test requirements.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and support process control initiatives.
