Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer (level 1) or Manufacturing Engineer (level 2) based in Iuka, MS. The role operates on a D shift (Fri–Sun, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) within the Aeronautics Systems Sector, focusing on designing and optimizing manufacturing processes and layouts to maximize efficiency and quality.

Qualifications include a STEM degree by Aug 2027, and the ability to obtain government clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM by August 2027
Master’s degree by August 2027 or Bachelor’s with 2 years experience
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (Program Special Access may be required)

Responsibilities

Design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
Design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
Design sequence of operations and specifications for fabrication of tools and equipment.
Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions and incorporate inspection requirements into the production plan.
Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency and initiate corrective action for quality.
Develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control.
Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements.
Ensure processes and procedures comply with regulations.
