Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. (JP) is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 2 at the Iuka, MS site to join the Manufacturing Operations Organization within Aeronautics Systems.

The role requires hands-on work translating blueprints into precise structural assemblies with attention to quality and detail. The position offers multiple shifts (Mon-Thurs 7am-5:30pm; 5:30pm-4am; Fri-Sun 7am-7:30pm; some weekends) with shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with at least 2 years of experience in hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, or systems in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance and Special Program Access; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must successfully complete ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints.
• Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies, including precision drilling and countersinking.
• Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.
• Perform part-fitting: filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, riveting, drilling, reaming.
• Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
• Maintain shop controls and use PPE.
• Support continuous improvement in production methods and equipment performance.
