Job description

Associate Manager, Customer Success (Remote)

We are seeking an Associate Manager, Customer Success to lead a small team of Customer Success Consultants (CSC) within Cengage Group. This role involves managing team performance, coaching, and executing strategies to achieve sales goals, while also performing CSC responsibilities. The position supports our Gale Customer Success team in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop revenue-generating strategies and expand existing customer accounts
  • Assist in hiring, training, and developing team members
  • Collaborate on account strategies and set performance goals
  • Represent the company at customer-facing events and travel as needed
  • Support training programs and evaluate team skills
  • Mentor sales staff to enhance performance
  • Lead team while meeting all Customer Success expectations

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education
  • At least 5 years of experience in teaching, training, presenting, or sales in educational publishing or technology
  • Curriculum expertise in relevant subject areas
  • Strong presentation, communication, and customer relationship skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, video tools, LMS systems, and educational technology
  • Leadership skills including team development and coaching
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and travel up to 50%
