Job summary

RXO, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented dispatcher in Southfield, MI. You will monitor pickups and deliveries, inform customers of deviations, and input updates into the dispatch system. Excellent English/Spanish phone communication and strong multitasking are required.

Ideal candidates have strong organizational abilities, basic computer skills, and a willingness to work a schedule that includes overtime and potential weekend shifts.

The schedule for this position will be Monday- Friday from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

What Your Day-to-day Will Look Like

• Monitor and track pickups and deliveries, and notify customers of any deviation from the run schedule
• Answer incoming driver and customer calls/emails, and take care of their needs
• Call and get updates from drivers/carriers and input accurate information into the dispatch system
• Communicate any issues with customers/drivers
• Monitor and update all Active Run problems

At a Minimum, You’ll Need

• Strong organizational and time management skills, including multitasking and managing customer expectations in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills

It’d Be Great If You Also Have

• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
• Experience dealing with high phone volume in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong driver and customer interaction experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Excellent phone communication skills in both English and Spanish
• Knowledge of the transportation industry
• Availability to work weekend day shift
