Job summary

Werner Enterprises in Dallas, TX is seeking an Associate Logistics Manager to oversee day-to-day transportation operations under the guidance of the Dedicated Logistics Manager. You will manage drivers, plan loads, and ensure high customer satisfaction.

You will handle revenue generation through headhaul and backhaul, invoicing, safety, equipment maintenance, and driver payroll, while meeting KPIs set by management and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation operations including driver management, load planning, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assign drivers to loads and optimize load information (origination, destination, freight type, miles, stops).
• Focus on driver training and retention by addressing home time, payroll, equipment issues and safety.
• Monitor profitability and growth of accounts; ensure customer service expectations are met.
• Oversee driver load assignments to meet service levels; monitor safety, pre-trip inspections and CSA scores.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety regulations; coordinate with billing, safety, payroll and fuel teams.
• Engage with customers to understand dynamics, goals and initiatives; maintain professional relationships and monitor performance metrics.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
