Job summary

Samsung Semiconductor seeking an experienced Logistics Compliance professional to manage import/export adherence, audits, and daily logistics operations onsite in San Jose. Responsibilities include handling customs compliance, validating documents, and coordinating with carriers and brokers to prevent penalties and ensure smooth cross-border movement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance/Business and strong Excel skills; 1+ year in logistics/compliance is preferred.

  • Excellent with MS Excel (v-lookup, formulas, pivot tables)

Responsibilities

  • Handle Customs compliance (C-TPAT, ANL, Customs regulations, HTS codes maintenance)
  • Perform Validation of Customs Entry Document prior to carrier generating the invoice to avoid unnecessary and unauthorized charge fees
  • Conduct regular internal audits of trade activities to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Support daily logistics operations (Tracking, Transportation, Following up on shipment discrepancy)
  • Resolve customs clearance issues with customs brokers
  • Review and process logistics vendor invoices
  • Perform Invoice Aging Reconciliation with Carriers
  • Monitor incident reports for shipment exceptions and take corrective actions.
  • Analyze potential risks in the supply chain related to geopolitical changes or new trade laws.
  • Educate internal stakeholders (Sales, Procurement, Logistics) on trade compliance requirements.
  • Manage RMA Handling which includes but not limited to creation of shipping labels, monitor return status to designated return location, coordinate with shipper for any custom import clearance inquiries or issues

What You’ll Do

Responsible for ensuring that all import and export activities of a company adhere to national and international laws, regulations, and corporate policies. Their primary goal is to mitigate legal risks, avoid costly penalties, and optimize the movement of goods across borders.

Location: Daily onsite presence at our San Jose, CA in alignment with our Flexible Work policy

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

What You Bring

Hourly Base Pay Rate

$70,000 - $90,000 USD
