NPAworldwide is seeking an Associate Litigation Attorney in Buffalo, NY. This role targets newly admitted or early-career attorneys eager to develop hands-on litigation experience across complex matters including property insurance, antitrust, subrogation, and commercial disputes.

You'll work with seasoned litigators, gain exposure to discovery, motions, depositions, and trial prep, and contribute to developing litigation strategies in a collaborative firm environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• Approximately 2 years of relevant legal experience with exposure to litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to work with experienced attorneys.
• Proficiency with legal research platforms and technology.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, case investigation, and trial preparation.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Assist with and conduct examinations under oath and depositions.
• Review and analyze extensive documentation related to sophisticated commercial litigation matters.
• Investigate and litigate property insurance claims, including suspected arson and fraudulent insurance claims.
• Conduct legal research and assist in developing litigation strategies.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys on complex legal matters across multiple practice areas.
• Manage assignments and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.

Work Environment
