The Difference You Make:

The Associate, Credit Risk is responsible for risk analysis and independent oversight of credit quality of assigned portfolios within the US Leveraged Finance Risk team. Responsibilities include participating in due diligence calls, shaping credit memos alongside 1LOD, providing challenge around risk ratings, credit analysis, financial projections, and making recommendations to senior management.

  • Setting appropriate internal and regulatory risk ratings on assigned portfolios.
  • Managing multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Partnering with 1LOD, other 2LOD teams, and 3LOD to meet expectations.
  • Joining client due diligence discussions and forming transaction opinions.
  • Providing check and challenge to 1LOD on transactions and risk ratings.
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
What You Bring:

To perform this job successfully, you should be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following are required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years in Risk Management, Credit Risk, or Internal Audit, with at least 3 years in a Leveraged Finance Risk role.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial statement analysis, accounting, credit, financial modeling, and regulatory risks.
  • Knowledge of credit policies, regulations, and applicable laws.
  • Credit analysis skills for evaluating transactions, monitoring client performance, and forming opinions.
  • Deep understanding of banking products including derivatives and treasury products.
  • Experience interacting with regulators, auditors, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams at all management levels.
