The Difference You Make :

The Associate, Credit Risk is responsible for risk analysis and independent oversight of the credit quality of assigned portfolios within the US Leveraged Finance Risk team. Responsibilities include participating in due diligence calls, shaping credit memos alongside Lines of Defense (LOD), providing challenge around risk ratings, credit analysis, financial projection models, and making recommendations to senior management.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Setting internal credit risk ratings and regulatory risk ratings on assigned portfolios.
  2. Managing multiple transactions simultaneously.
  3. Partnering with LOD teams to meet internal and external expectations.
  4. Participating in client due diligence discussions and forming opinions on transactions.
  5. Providing checks and challenges to LOD on transactions and risk ratings.
  6. Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
What You Bring :

To perform this job successfully, you should be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements include:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience (Required).
  • Experience in Risk Management, Credit Risk, or Internal Audit, preferably within a Leveraged Finance Risk role.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial statement analysis, accounting, credit, financial modeling, discounted cash flow analysis, and regulatory risks.
  • Knowledge of credit policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable laws.
  • Strong credit analysis skills for evaluating transactions and monitoring client performance.
  • Deep understanding of banking products including derivatives and treasury products.
  • Experience interacting with regulators, internal and external auditors, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with all management levels, work independently, and collaborate effectively.
