Job summary

GoCardless Ltd. is hiring an Associate Legal Counsel to advise UK teams and negotiate strategic partner deals. You will work closely with partners, GTM teams, and external counsel to drive high-value contracts and initiatives.

You will review agreements, help roll out templates, and lead process improvements in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment. UK-qualified lawyers with strong commercial focus are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Qualified in the UK with solicitors/Bar admission.
• Experience negotiating complex contracts with sophisticated counterparties.
• Experience reviewing marketing materials under applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Support and advise the Partner team and negotiate strategic Partner deals
• Support UK Go-To-Market teams on high-value deals
• Work with your manager on strategic projects
• Roll out templates and launch new products
• Review and negotiate customer, partnership and supplier contracts
• Supervise more junior lawyers on negotiations or files
• Instruct and manage external legal counsel
• Build self-help tools, playbooks and guides for the legal team
• Improve contracting automation and workflows
• Be prepared to handle any legal issue as it arises
