Job summary

NMI is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join our legal team in a remote role. You will draft and negotiate commercial agreements to support our UK and US sales teams, advise on data protection, compliance, and corporate governance, and help develop templates and playbooks.

This role reports to the Associate General Counsel and offers exposure to a growth‑oriented fintech environment. The ideal candidate has 2+ years PQE, is qualified in England and Wales, and can operate across UK and US matters

Qualifications

• 2+ years PQE in private practice or in-house.
• Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales with current practising certificate.
• Ability to provide practical, business‑oriented legal and commercial contract advice.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements to support UK and US sales teams.
• Provide practical, business‑oriented legal advice to colleagues at all levels.
• Support data protection requests and data‑compliance matters.
• Negotiate vendor agreements and advise on contracting models, product design, and governance.
• Maintain and develop template agreements and contract review guides.
• Identify opportunities to improve legal processes and drive efficiencies.
