Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking an IT Desktop Support Technician to assist providers, clinicians, and staff by improving work processes through technology solutions. This role installs, configures, and troubleshoots consumer devices, interfaces with customers, and supports on-site and remote help as needed.

Requirements include a High School diploma, 1+ year in desktop support, and certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA.

Qualifications

Job Description

Responsible for supporting providers, clinicians, and business professionals by improving work processes through technology solutions. This position provides accurate and timely support services for consumer devices. This role installs, configures, and troubleshoots consumer-based hardware, software, and peripherals. In addition, this position interfaces directly with customers on behalf of other technical teams and provides local or remote support and troubleshooting. Additionally, this role assists with evaluations and recommendations of vendor packages and implements approved software. Responsibilities for this role include participating in on-call duties, using a personal cell phone for communications, working periodically on weekends and nights, and traveling between locations as required.

• Communicates with consumers to provide solutions to technical problems.
• Supports audio-video technology at a basic level.
• References centralized AIT Field Operations knowledge bases.
• Performs basic level repairs for company devices.
• Works with designated information technology vendors for support.
• Meets the standard service level agreement (SLA) for incidents and requests.
• Leads projects and special initiatives within allotted timeframes.
• Follows and maintains AIT standard operating procedures for field operations.
• Performs preventive maintenance on authorized company devices.
• Works with enterprise AIT technical and business support teams as required.
• Installs consumer-based hardware and software on devices and operating systems.
• Provides detailed descriptions within internal service ticket system.
• Follows AIT standards for devices and software.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic working knowledge of various Internet Browsers. [Required]
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite. [Required]
• Familiarity with current Microsoft and Mac operating systems. [Required]
• Basic familiarity with device imaging processes. [Required]
• Basic knowledge of mobile devices hardware. [Required]

• Basic understanding of IT network hardware, software, and general concepts. [Required]
• Experience working in a Healthcare environment. [Preferred]
