Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a dedicated healthcare team member to support patients, families, and providers at the front desk. You will schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and maintain accurate patient records in a compassionate, professional environment.

Responsibilities include communicating care plans, coordinating follow-ups, ensuring a safe, welcoming facility, and using technology to enhance patient care.

  • Ability to act in an autonomous, self-directed manner while maintaining the ability to collaborate with other professionals and non-professionals in situations of high complexity and high intensity. [Required]
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing demands [Required]
  • Mature judgement and the ability to handle confidential information within AdventHealth guidelines and applicable regulations [Required]
  • Proficiency using personal computer, word processing and email system. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word [Required]

Education
  • Associate [Required]
Field of Study
  • in Healthcare or related field
Work Experience
  • 2+ in a complex healthcare setting with primary responsibility of providing customer support to patients in either a scheduling or front desk capacity [Preferred]
Additional Information
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement:
  • Associate's Degree OR 2+ years of work experience as outlined above [Required]
Licenses and Certifications
  • Medical Office Assistant (MOA) [Preferred]
