Job summary

ePlus Technology, inc. in Herndon, VA is hiring an Associate Project Manager to guide project lifecycles from inception to close, coordinating resources, schedules, and invoicing for small to mid-size internal and external customers.

You will work with Sales and Engineering, develop SOWs and track budgets, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to ePlus project management standards; pursuing CAPM/PMP and demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in operations or project management in IT.
• Pursuing CAPM or PMP certification.
• Proven history delivering small to mid-size projects with hands-on project management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of project management methodology.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run small to mid-size projects from initial SOW to completion.
• Enter quotes and orders into Professional Services Automation tools.
• Coordinate with Sales and Engineering on documents including SOWs and purchase orders.
• Create vendor purchase orders and process invoices for payment.
• Work with internal constituients and customers to define resource requirements and schedules.
• Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, and milestones.
• Manage all project communication with customers and Account Managers.
• Escape project issues and keep management informed.
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Review deliverables before passing to client.
• Apply ePlus project management methodology and standards.
• Minimize exposure and risk on projects.
• Manage project budget and forecasting.
• Track and report team hours and expenses weekly.
• Assure project legal documents are completed and signed.
• Obtain project completion signatures and ensure timely invoicing.
