Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC is seeking an Associate - Inventory for a 6-month contract in Woodland Hills, CA. The role is onsite with standard daytime hours.

You will handle receiving, data entry, quality checks, and storage, using PIT equipment and inventory software. Safety and accuracy are top priorities.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of Fulfillment Center operations experience and forklift certification, with a focus on efficiency and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously improve by evaluating roadblocks and root cause analysis.
  • Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, EPJs, reach-trucks, turret-trucks.
  • Receive and unload shipments and inspect packages per SOP.
  • Perform quality checks and document receipts in the system.
  • Input data into inventory management tools from physical deliveries.
  • Package, label, and store parts per SOP and stage for workflow.
  • Sort, label, and audit storage locations to prevent loss.

Associate - Inventory

Location: Woodland Hills, CA

Onsite Flexibility: Onsite

Contract Details
  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 6 months
  • Pay Rate: $27.08 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7AM – 5PM PST
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Key Responsibilities
  • Continuous improvement: Employee must evaluate, monitor, and elevate a roadblock identified while working in a role that can cause a defect downstream. Contingent worker must be able to support a root cause analysis and provide details with problem-solving skills.
  • Proper use of equipment to support role: Employee must possess fundamental knowledge and skills in operating heavy equipment, primarily PIT equipment/forklifts. This includes understanding the operational mechanics, safety procedures, and maintenance practices associated with such machinery. Employee must be able to operate any equipment needed to move heavy parts/material throughout the facilities within the sites, including but not limited to: electronic pallet jacks (EPJs), forklifts, reach-trucks, and turret-trucks.
  • Receive shipments: Employee must be able to unload shipments delivered by carriers.
  • Inspecting shipments: Employee must be able to visually examine packages arriving at the Fulfillment Center and determine if it is acceptable according to a standard operating procedure.
  • Quality control checks: Employee must review requirements for each part number and process accordingly to the standard operating procedure.
  • Documenting receipts: Employee must be able to use tools and equipment to systematically upload, store, and follow standard operating procedures to completely close out a receipt or work order.
  • Data entry: Employee must be able to navigate and select fields within an inventory management tool to input data directly coming from the physical delivery of a part. Employee must be able to navigate through modules and read information as it is needed for a specific task of Fulfillment.
  • Packaging: Employee must be able to identify what type of packaging is needed for parts, must be able to properly wrap/store parts with packaging at any stage of the Fulfillment/Manufacturing workflow.
  • Sorting and staging: Employee must be able to move packages/boxes/crates/any storage container while it is identified and secure to prevent loss within the workflow.
  • Labeling and marking: Employee must ensure all parts are part labeled and have identifiers outlined in the standard operating procedure in order to analyze parts through the workflow.
  • Storage assignment/auditing: Employees must properly store and use good judgement along with the standard operating procedure for the storage of parts that could be individual or in bulk. Employee must be able to audit per a standard operating procedure.
Required Skills
  • Safety is a top priority — it is imperative that the employee strictly adheres to established safety protocols and guidelines. This includes but is not limited to wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following safe operating procedures, and participating in regular safety training sessions.
  • An attitude of world-class quality, attention to detail, and dedication.
  • Communication skills within a highly technical environment.
  • Mathematical skills. Analytical skills to define problems, collect appropriate and relevant data, establish facts, and draw reasonable conclusions from gathered information.
  • Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be able to operate forklifts.
Preferred Skills
  • Warehouse/Receiving/Inventory experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.
  • Electronic pallet jack experience.
Required Experience
  • 2 years of Fulfillment Center Operations experience, including an industry with receiving and inventory functions.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • Employee must be able to lift 50 lbs.
