Job summary

System One is seeking an Inventory Associate I - A for a 6-month contract in Kent, WA. Shift is Monday to Friday, 6am to 3:30pm PST, with compensation of $35 per hour.

The role involves receiving, inventory control, and operation of heavy equipment including forklifts and PIT equipment, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring SOP compliance. The position requires 2+ years in fulfillment/inventory operations, forklift certification, ability to lift 50 lbs, and strong attention to detail

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Fulfillment Center Operations experience, including receiving and inventory functions.
  • Certified forklift experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication skills in a technical environment.
  • Mathematical and analytical skills to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.

Responsibilities

  • Support continuous improvement by evaluating, monitoring, and escalating roadblocks that could cause downstream defects.
  • Support root cause analysis and provide detailed problem-solving insights.
  • Properly operate heavy equipment, including PIT equipment and forklifts, understanding operational mechanics, safety procedures, and maintenance practices.
  • Move heavy parts/materials throughout the facilities using equipment such as electronic pallet jacks, forklifts, reach-trucks, and turret-trucks.
  • Receive shipments, unload deliveries, and visually inspect packages for compliance with SOP standards.
  • Conduct quality control checks, review part requirements, and process accordingly.
  • Document receipts using tools and equipment to upload, store, and close out work orders or receipts following SOPs.
  • Input data into inventory management systems, navigating modules and reading information as needed.
  • Identify appropriate packaging for parts and properly wrap/store items at various workflow stages.
  • Sort, stage, and move packages or storage containers, ensuring security and preventing loss.
  • Label and mark parts with identifiers as outlined in SOPs for workflow analysis.
  • Properly store and audit parts, whether individual or bulk, following SOPs and using good judgment.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of Fulfillment Center Operations experience, including receiving and inventory functions.
  • Desired: Warehouse/Receiving/Inventory experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.
  • Certified forklift experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication skills in a technical environment.
  • Mathematical and analytical skills to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material.
  • Ability to earn trust and maintain positive, professional relationships.
  • Must adhere strictly to safety protocols, including PPE usage and safe operating procedures.
  • Ability to work at least 45 hours per week, with potential for 50-55 hours.
