Job summary

System One is seeking an Inventory Associate II in Los Angeles, CA. This contractor role runs Monday–Friday, 7AM–5PM PST with a $30/hour pay rate, supporting receiving, storage, and cycle counts in a Fast‑paced Fulfillment Center.

Responsibilities include inspecting shipments, performing quality checks, data entry into the inventory management system, and ensuring accurate labeling and routing through staging and storage areas. Safety and accuracy are essential as you help move and store parts.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Fulfillment Center Operations experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Strong safety adherence and PPE usage.
  • Attention to detail and problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Continuous improvement and identifying roadblocks affecting downstream quality.
  • Support root cause analysis with problem solving details.
  • Operate heavy equipment safely (EPJs, forklifts, reach-trucks, turret-trucks).
  • Receive shipments and unload them from carriers.
  • Inspect shipments against SOPs for acceptability.
  • Perform quality checks and process according to SOPs.
  • Document receipts and update inventory systems.
  • Enter data from deliveries into the inventory management tool.
  • Determine packaging needs and properly wrap/store parts.
  • Sort and stage packages to prevent loss in workflow.
  • Label and mark parts with identifiers per SOP.
  • Store parts correctly and audit storage per SOP.

Inventory Associate II

A shift: Monday through Friday, 7AM - 5PM PST. Location: Los Angeles - Woodland Hills, CA. Pay rate: $30 per hour. Contractor position - 6-Month Contract Assignment.

Job Description
  • Continuous improvement, employee must evaluate/monitor/escalate a roadblock identified while working in a role that can cause a defect downstream.
  • Contingent worker must be able to support a root cause analysis and provide details with problem solving skills.
  • Proper use of equipment to support role, employee must possess fundamental knowledge and skills in operating heavy equipment, primarily PIT equipment/forklifts. This includes understanding the operational mechanics, safety procedures, and maintenance practices associated with such machinery. Employee must be able to operate any equipment needed to move heavy parts/material throughout the facilities within the sites, including but not limited to: electronic pallet jacks (EPJs), forklifts, reach-trucks and turret-trucks.
  • Receive shipments, employee must be able to unload shipments delivered by carriers.
  • Inspecting shipments, employee must be able to visually examine packages arriving at the Fulfillment Center and determine if it is acceptable according to a standard operating procedure.
  • Quality control checks, employee must review requirements for each part number and process accordingly to the standard operating procedure.
  • Documenting receipts, employee must be able to use tools and equipment to systematically upload, store, and follow standard operating procedures to completely close out a receipt or work order.
  • Data entry, employee must be able to navigate and select fields within an inventory management tool to input data directly coming from the physical delivery of a part. Employee must be able to navigate through modules and read information as it is needed for a specific task of Fulfillment.
  • Packaging, employee must be able to identify what type of packaging is needed for parts, must be able to properly wrap/store parts with packaging at any stage of the Fulfillment/Manufacturing workflow.
  • Sorting and staging, employee must be able to move packages/boxes/crates/any storage container while its identified and secure to prevent loss within the workflow.
  • Labeling and marking, employee must ensure all parts are part labeled, have identifiers outlined in the standard operating procedure in order to analyze parts through the workflow.
  • Storage assignment/auditing, employees must properly store and use good judgement along with the standard operating procedure for the storage of parts that could be individual or in bulk. Employee must be able to audit per a standard operating procedure.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Fulfillment Center Operations experience, including an industry with receiving and inventory functions.
  • Safety is a top priority it is imperative that the employee strictly adheres to established safety protocols and guidelines. This includes but is not limited to, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following safe operating procedures, and participating in regular safety training sessions.
  • Employee must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • An attitude of world-class quality, attention to detail, and dedication.
  • Communication skills within a highly technical environment.
  • Mathematical skills. Analytical skills to define problems, collect appropriate and relevant data, establish facts, and draw reasonable conclusions from gathered information.
  • Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be able to operate forklifts
Desired
  • Warehouse/Receiving/Inventory experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.
  • Electronic pallet jack experience
