Associate Immigration Attorney - USA (Remote/Hybrid)
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: $Negotiable + Equity + Bonus + Benefits
This AI-native immigration practice is looking to hire an attorney to join an ambitious start-up reimagining how immigration law is delivered. This is an opportunity for an early-career business immigration attorney to combine substantive legal practice with a hand in building the systems behind it. You’ll advise start-up founders and technical talent and manage petitions from intake through filing. Alongside your caseload, you’ll help build scalable, repeatable playbooks. You’ll also give engineers practical feedback on AI-assisted drafting and review tools. You’ll be one of the founding legal team members and help define how the entire practice operates. Early team members get meaningful equity. AI-native from day one—you won’t be bolting AI onto old workflows. You’ll practice immigration law with purpose-built AI tools and shape how those tools evolve based on your real case experience.
You’ll take responsibility for the full case lifecycle, including:
You’ll need a J.D. from an accredited law school, active bar membership in good standing in any US state, and 1–3 years’ business immigration experience. New York bar membership is a plus.
Your experience should include employment-based non-immigrant and immigrant petitions, hands-on case management, petition review and submission, and work on O-1, EB-1A or NIW cases. Strong legal writing and the confidence to advise clients directly are essential.
Experience at a large immigration practice or a specialist boutique would be useful. Work with start-up or founder clients, and experience responding to RFEs or NOIDs, would also be valuable.
This role is aimed at an early-career associate rather than an established mid-to-senior attorney. It will suit someone who takes initiative, follows cases through and is willing to reconsider familiar approaches—not simply reproduce a previous firm’s playbook.
