Job summary

Bay Immigration Law, a growing immigration firm with offices in Dallas, Chicago and London, seeks an attorney to own national-interest cases from strategy to approval. You will draft persuasive petitions, guide paralegals, and coordinate with senior attorneys to secure approvals. This hands-on role offers mentorship, client-facing responsibilities, and frequent cross-office collaboration.

Ideal candidates have a J.D. and active bar admission in any U.S. state or D.C., 1–3 years of U.S.

Responsibilities

• Own a caseload of O-1, EB-1 and EB-2 NIW matters from intake to decision
• Build case strategy with supervising Partners and identify strongest evidence
• Draft petition letters, legal briefs, expert and recommendation letters, and affidavits
• Prepare and review immigration forms and assemble filings and exhibits
• Draft responses to RFEs and NOIDs
• Be the main point of contact for clients on case progress via email, phone and video
• Collaborate with paralegals on timelines, document collection and quality review
• Take regular business trips between our Dallas, Chicago and London offices for team days, training and client meetings

Role Description

You will own a caseload of extraordinary-ability and national-interest cases from strategy to approval. You will work on case strategy, draft the legal arguments that win approvals, and guide our paralegals through preparation and filing. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility from day one and close mentorship from senior attorneys.

What you will do

• Manage O-1, EB-1 and EB-2 NIW matters from intake to decision
• Build case strategy with supervising Partners and identify the strongest evidence for each client

What you bring

• J.D. and active bar admission in good standing in any U.S. state or D.C.
• 1-3 years of U.S. immigration experience, including hands-on drafting of O-1, EB-1 and/or EB-2 NIW petitions
• Strong legal writing: you can turn a client's career into a persuasive petition
• Organised and reliable with multiple deadlines
• Clear, friendly communication with clients and colleagues
• Nice to have: exposure to H-1B, L-1, E-2 or EB-3; experience with tech or start-up clients; a second language
