Job summary

California-Hydronics-Corporation in Hayward, CA is seeking an Associate Hydronic Technician to assemble, align, and test Pressure Booster Systems and Custom Packages in our Flowtherm Fabrication area.

You'll work with power tools, welders, cutters, forklifts, and cranes, with occasional field service and customer interaction, and travel locally as needed. This temporary full-time role starts at $28–$30 per hour and includes training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1–3 years in construction-related roles such as pipe fitter, welder, plumber, electrician, carpenter.
• License: Valid Driver’s License.
• Skills: basic electrical, plumbing, welding, carpentry knowledge; ability to operate power tools and fabrication machinery; lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, flow diagrams or BOMs to assemble HVAC equipment to tolerances.
• Cut, fit, position, and weld parts or subassemblies using hand tools, torches, and jigs.
• Use ERP system to download project documents and log labor hours and materials.
• Assist with fabrication inventory, cycle counts, and year-end audits.
• Travel locally to job sites in a company vehicle as needed.

Schedule: Monday to Friday. Training: 6am to 3pm then from November 2:30 to 11:00 p.m.

Job Type: Full-Time TEMPORARY

Starting rate: $28 to $30 hourly

About the Role

As an Associate Hydronic Technician, you will assemble, align, and test Pressure Booster Systems and Custom Packages in our Flowtherm Fabrication area. You will work with power tools, welders, cutters, forklifts, and cranes to build high-quality HVAC systems. Occasional field service work and customer interaction are also part of the job.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1–3 years as a Pipe Fitter, Welder, Plumber, Electrician, Carpenter, or in Construction.
• License: Valid Driver’s License (DMV).
• Skills:
  • Basic electrical, plumbing, welding, carpentry, or construction knowledge.
  • Ability to operate power tools, fabrication machinery, and lift heavy items (50+ lbs).
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
• Preferred: Knowledge of HVAC controls and advanced pipe fitting/plumbing, or welding skills.
