Job summary

Haddad Plumbing and Heating Inc. seeks an HVAC Helper to join our team in Newark, NJ. The helper will support the HVAC department by performing plumbing and HVAC work and assisting mechanics with daily tasks and projects.

This full-time position offers opportunity for growth, benefits, and hands-on training in a family-owned company. Starts at $17 per hour with no experience required, with regular Mon–Fri hours and some Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, repair and maintenance of plumbing systems including drainage, waste, vent, gas and related fixtures.
• Assist with installation, repair and maintenance of HVAC systems including boilers, furnaces, air conditioning and ductwork.
• Keep mechanics' vehicle organized and stocked with materials.
• Review and complete assigned training curriculum.
• Carry hand tools as required by the company and wear PPE per guidelines.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by management.

Job description

Haddad Plumbing and Heating Inc. is seeking a HVAC Helper to join our team. The HVAC Helper will support the HVAC department by preforming Plumbing and HVAC work and assisting Plumbing / HVAC mechanics with daily tasks and projects.

Essential Functions

• Assist with the Installation, repair and maintenance of all plumbing systems including but not limited to drainage, waste, vent, gas and flue piping, fixtures, faucets, tub & shower valves and water heaters.
• Assist with the Installation, repair and maintenance of all HVAC systems including but not limited to hydronic boilers, steam boilers, hot air furnaces, air conditioning systems, piping, controls and ductwork
• Keep the mechanics vehicle organized, stocked with material and clean
• Review and complete assigned training curriculum
• Have hand tools as required by the company
• Wear PPE as established by the company guidelines
• Any other tasks as assigned manager

This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm and Saturdays as needed per job.
