Job summary

California Hydronics Corp is seeking an Associate Service Technician to perform start-ups, tuning, troubleshooting, and repairs for commercial HVAC and plumbing systems, including pumps, boilers, water heaters, chillers, and VFDs.

You will verify equipment setup and programming according to manufacturer manuals, set up interfaces with Building Management Systems (BMS), measure voltage up to 480V, and provide operational guidance and training to customers and maintenance staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial/industrial HVAC, plumbing, boiler, or pumping experience.
• EPA 608 License (Type II or Universal).
• Proficient with tablets, laptops, diagnostic tools, and Microsoft 365.
• Willingness to overtime and travel overnight as needed.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-ups, troubleshooting, tuning, and warranty repairs on CHC product lines.
• Verify equipment setup and programming according to manufacturer manuals.
• Set up and troubleshoot interfaces with Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Measure voltage up to 480V and perform wiring between electrical panels and equipment.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of commercial/industrial experience with HVAC, plumbing, boiler, or pumping equipment.
• License: EPA 608 License (Type II or Universal).
• Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using tablets, laptops, diagnostic tools, and Microsoft 365.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime and travel/stay overnight when business demands require.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED

• Knowledge of direct digital controls and VFDs
• Relevant licenses in HVAC, EPA, electrical, plumbing, or boilers, where applicable
• Associate’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, HVAC, Plumbing, or Boilers
