Job summary

Thompson Law in Dallas, TX is seeking an HR Generalist to grow from an HR Coordinator role. You will handle onboarding, employee relations, and compliance while supporting the HR Director and maintaining the firm's people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ HR Coordinator experience in a professional or administrative role.
• HRIS experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong commitment to upholding firm philosophy and mission.

Responsibilities

• Assist with regularly updating recruitment spreadsheets for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
• Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
• Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
• Conduct new hire orientation and facilitate onboarding and offboarding.
• Perform routine tasks to administer and execute HR programs including performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.
• Assist with posting jobs across various platforms.
• Support HR Director with employee relations and other HR initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; review policies regularly for adherence.
• Additional responsibilities will continue to evolve with the growth of the position.

Are you an HR Coordinator who's ready for more responsibility? This position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make the transition into an HR Generalist role. We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented HR professional who is eager to learn, grow, and build a long-term career while gaining hands‑on experience across all facets of Human Resources.

As the HR Generalist, you support the Firm as a key contact for many different aspects within the Human Resources department.
