Job summary

Ascendco seeks an Associate Implementation Engineer in Chicago to bridge software deployment, support, and education for healthcare clients.

You will work with Client Success Managers and Engineers to deploy and connect the Ascendco platform, shadowing peers and growing toward independent ownership.

The role emphasizes configuration, networking, and coordination with hospital IT teams, with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving and structured troubleshooting approach.
• Curiosity about how software runs behind the scenes.
• Comfort with software configuration, admin tools, networking concepts, and systems.
• Ability to coordinate with client IT teams and internal groups.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Software Engineering to build deep product expertise.
• Support platform implementation, including configuration, deployment, networking, and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with Client Success and Implementation teams to manage technical workstreams.
• Explain infrastructure, security, and technical requirements to client IT teams.
• Shadow senior engineers to take ownership of complex implementations over time.
• Assist with Level 2 support and issue resolution for escalated problems.
• Contribute to QA, testing, and documentation for deployment and operations.
• Serve as a bridge between Engineering, Success, and clients as the platform evolves.
• Create and maintain educational resources describing deployment and usage.
• Travel ~25% to client facilities for go-lives and new module deployments.
